About Lissa Sue

I’m Lissa Sue…actually, I’m Melissa Anne, but some of my favorite people call me Lissa Sue! My daddy gave me that nickname when I was tiny and it stuck.

I’m a believer. The Lord has blessed my life immensely with His faithfulness and goodness, and I want every interaction I make through this little shop to be a testament to the life-giving joy He brings to my life, and the joy He can bring to yours.

I’m married to my high school sweetheart and very best friend, and I’m a mommy to two precious and hilarious little girls. These precious people are my greatest blessings in this life.

​

I’m a graphic designer, and this shop is my therapy. Yep, it also provides a bit of income…but it’s so much more than that. It was always more than that. When my daddy’s health declined rapidly the year we found out he had terminal cancer, and my babies were tiny, and my world was changing rapidly, this little graphic design hobby of mine grown out of our time spent in youth ministry became my outlet. It was my quiet way to serve my church family while my kiddos were napping. It was my way to communicate the joy and encouragement I needed to be reminded of in my own heart. And it was also an unexpected way to meet other believers walking through their own difficult days with resilience and grace glorifying the Father in their various valleys. It’s a humbling feeling to know something I’ve doodled while grieving has been gifted to someone else clinging to hope in the midst of their own valleys, and it’s a thrilling feeling to know that I get to celebrate in their victories and mountain-high moments too.
